Coulson Group of companies is a diverse organization spanning global markets from forestry and lumber to aviation and aerial fire suppression.

The company was founded in 1960 by Cliff Coulson and still maintains its family ownership after spanning over 5 decades. Coulson group is proud of its rich history in British columbia and continues to be committed to the various communities it operates within.

Coulson Manufacturing operates a primary lumber manufacturing facility and two re-manufacturing facilities in Port Alberni, BC, focusing on old growth Western Red Cedar Lumber products.

Our primary goal is to provide our customers with a world class, sustainable, and environmentally responsible lumber product that meets the highest standard of lumber certification and leeds credentials. Our new and innovative Western Red Cedar products that are part of the Coulson Design line (CDL) will allow for a lower price point then solid cedar while maximizing every Cedar board to its full potential.

Since 2010, Coulson Manufacturing's Cedar division has been working to develop a revolutionary new product. Utilizing beautiful clear, old growth Western Red Cedar and laminating it to plywood; Coulson has produced FSC premium blank products that can be run into various patterns.

With Certification for both exterior and interior usage, this product can be used in a variety of applications varying from dramatic cedar soffitting to siding and spectacular architectural accents.
